What comes with the car
Carvana's own 100-day limited warranty page states: "Every vehicle we sell comes with a complimentary Limited Warranty from Carvana provided by our warranty company, SilverRock. The warranty is valid for 100 days or 4,189 miles from the time of your purchase, whichever comes first. This warranty covers both Basic components (e.g. air conditioning, audio systems, vehicle sensors, fuel systems and major electrical components) as well as Powertrain components (e.g. engine, transmission, and drive train). Please note, there is a co-pay to open a warranty claim." Read on Carvana's own asset site on 8 September 2026. Carvana's annual report to the SEC for the year ended December 31, 2025 describes the same term: "the Company provides a 100-day or 4,189-mile limited warranty to customers to repair certain broken or defective components of each used vehicle sold."

Read the source →Three coverages come with every vehicle we sell, at no extra charge: a 7-day bumper-to-bumper warranty, a 3-day exchange, and 3-month / 3,000-mile powertrain coverage. Our own words on the limits: "The bumper-to-bumper part runs seven days. Not seven months." and "The powertrain part runs 3 months / 3,000 miles, and it covers the powertrain — not everything under the hood, and not wear items." Said plainly: Carvana's included warranty runs longer than either of ours and covers more — 100 days or 4,189 miles, basic and powertrain components, against our 7-day bumper-to-bumper and our 3-month / 3,000-mile powertrain coverage. We are not claiming to beat Carvana on warranty length or scope. What we do say is where the work happens: at our own service department in Mundelein, the same shop that inspects and preps every car we sell. Whether anything is payable at drop-off is stated in the paperwork for your specific vehicle.

How you get the car, and where you can see it first
Carvana's annual report to the SEC for the year ended December 31, 2025 describes how it delivers: "Our home delivery and pickup is typically conducted by a Carvana employee on a branded hauler, as soon as the same day in certain markets, depending on availability and location." Carvana buys and sells online. Its customer-facing site in Schaumburg is the car vending machine it announced on 3 May 2023: "It is located at 1717 N Penny Lane, Schaumburg, IL 60173" (Carvana press release, linked below), used for pickup and drop-off. On this point Carvana does something we do not: they will bring the car to your home.

Read the source →Our cars sit on one lot at 2459 S IL Route 83, Mundelein, and you are welcome to come look at a specific one before you buy anything. The site lets you reserve a 15-min look at a particular car: when the store calendar has that time open it is held for you, and otherwise the request comes to the team and we text you back to confirm. Open Mon–Fri 9–7 · Sat 9–6; closed Sunday. Everything happens at that address, so plan the drive.

Returning the car after you buy it
Carvana's own 7-Day Return Policy page states: "The first day of your test-own period starts on the day that you receive the vehicle. If you decide to return your vehicle, please let us know prior to 5 p.m. EST on the 7th calendar day after receiving it." It also states: "you can drive the vehicle up to 400 miles during your 7-day test-own period. You can still return the car if it's driven over 400 miles, however, for every additional mile after the 400-mile limit, you will be charged an extra $1.00 per mile." On conditions: "we cannot accept a return where the car has been modified, damaged, or altered from its original condition when we delivered it to you. We also cannot accept a return if the car has been in an accident or has had a lien or other encumbrance put on the vehicle (other than the retail installment contract you signed with Carvana)." And on cost: "If you decide to return or exchange your vehicle, all costs other than shipping will be refunded or applied toward your exchange." Read on Carvana's own asset site on 8 September 2026. Carvana's annual report for the year ended December 31, 2025 says the same: "Our return policy allows customers to initiate a return during the first seven days after delivery." The deadline is written by Carvana as 5 p.m. EST; we do not restate it in another time zone — confirm the cut-off with Carvana.
